The Originals
The ones that started it all. Made from reclaimed tōtara fence battens, the Originals are simple, still and right at home in the garden.
Choose a black outdoor stain, metallic bronze finish, or natural timber that shows off the marks of its past life.

Patio People
All the quiet character of an Original, in a smaller form. Patio People are made for compact gardens, balconies, apartments and spaces indoors.
They may take up less room, but they have just as much presence.

A larger pair made from reclaimed tōtara fence posts. Standing together, they bring a striking presence to a garden or landscape.
She wears a braided copper detail around her neck. Otherwise, the two are quite content to let their stance do the talking.

BEHIND THE PEOPLE
Meet Clare.
Clare Rose makes Shadow People from her home workshop in Hawke’s Bay. Originally from Taranaki, she works surrounded by her garden and animals, giving reclaimed materials a new place in the world.
What began as an experiment with tōtara and structural steel became Shadow People after her family fell for the first figures. Today, she still makes each one by hand.
